Auditions for Cafe le Monde by Charles L. Mee and directed by Missy Bell will be held:

Reserved times are not required but preference will be given to actors who reserve a time. Auditions will be held in ten minute slots on these dates.
Auditions will consist of:
For all actors: cold readings from the script
For actors who are also musicians: 32 bars of any song, any style to demonstrate your level of ability (note that all levels of ability are welcome and encouraged to audition with instruments)
For actors who are also singers: 32 bars of a pop song (note that there will be no accompanist)
For actors who are also opera singers: 32 bars of an aria (note that there will be no accompanist)
Actors should come prepared to list conflicts from the date of their audition through the closing of the show: July 1, 2017.
Callbacks if necessary: April 1, 2017; 1 – 4 PM Actors who are called back should prepare to be available for the entire callback session and come in clothing appropriate for movement.
12 Actors to play 42 roles; ages 16 and above. All ages older than 16 encouraged to attend. Gender is largely irrelevant, though a variety will be cast. Seeking specifically: singer, dancer, pianist, contortionist, accordion player, clown, opera singer, living statue, French speaker, strings player (violin, viola, or cello) and other fearless actors who are willing to take chances, fail, learn, and possibly break eggs over their heads.
Synopsis: Cafe le Monde is a play about art and artists. It is a play about the fact that every single person you ever see or meet has a complex story, thought life, and problem – flaws, failures, and a thousand beautiful things that make them. It takes place in a cafe. There will be singing, dancing, art, music, arguments, love stories – all playing out before us and the audience will be a part of the crowd.
